Three Nigerians Arrested in Gambia with D2.27M Fraud Proceeds (Approx. ₦42M)
On June 16, police at Serekunda Station arrested three Nigerian men in connection with a scam involving Two Million Two Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand Dalasis (approx. ₦42 million). The suspects—aged 35 to 47 and from Kololi and Brusubi—were detained after credible intelligence led officers to their location. Investigators recovered the full D2,272,000 during the operation. The trio has been charged with theft, and further inquiries are ongoing. The Gambia Police Force says it remains committed to combating fraud and safeguarding the public.
