Andre Onana Set for Second Loan Spell at Trabzonspor

Andre Onana Set for Second Loan Spell at Trabzonspor

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is on the brink of returning to Trabzonspor on loan for the 2026–27 season. The Cameroon international has fallen behind Senne Lammens in the pecking order at Old Trafford. United would prefer a permanent sale to recoup part of the £47.2 million fee paid to Inter Milan in 2023, but media reports suggest another loan is the most realistic outcome. Onana impressed in Turkey last season, helping Trabzonspor lift the Turkish Cup in May. He remains under contract for two more years but looks unlikely to feature in United’s plans due to his high wages and the club’s goalkeeping setup.

United fans should monitor Onana's performance in Turkey before writing him off; a strong loan season could restore his market value.
