Victor Osimhen Undergoes Successful Forearm Surgery, Faces Four-Week Recovery

Galatasaray have confirmed that striker Victor Osimhen underwent a successful operation on his fractured right forearm at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital. The injury occurred during the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16. Club doctor Op. Dr. Yener İnce led the procedure, which took place on Monday afternoon. Osimhen is expected to be sidelined for around four weeks. This season, he has contributed 19 goals and seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds, according to the club statement.

Even successful surgeries can hit unexpected snags during rehabilitation. I wonder if four weeks might actually stretch longer for a striker of his pace.

Galatasaray often bounce back quickly from injuries, though. Maybe Osimhen's timely surgery will keep him sharper than we expect after a month out.

Strength focus and gradual ball work should be key once his arm heals. Coaching staff must tailor sessions to rebuild Osimhen's confidence before returning to full training.
