Why Indigenous Police Might Work Where State Forces Fail

State-level police forces risk the same fate as Amotekun and other vigilantes. They can be compromised by non-indigenes and infiltrators. A truly local force made up only of native residents would have far greater loyalty. Officers would protect their own families and lands, ready even to make the ultimate sacrifice. We must resist outside groups imposing on our communities. Indigenous policing could be a more reliable solution than a standard state force.
