Fashola: “I Never Had a Security Vote as Lagos Governor”

At a June 12 policy forum attended by the Minister of Defence and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Babatunde Fashola revealed he never received a security vote as Lagos governor. He said, “I don’t know what it means. I never had it in Lagos. All our acquisitions were domiciled in the Ministry of Budget and Planning.” Fashola added that he is unsure if other governors, including Saraki, received security vote funds and wonders where those allocations are sourced.
