Clearing Agent in Court Over Attempted 2.8kg Cocaine Export from Lagos Airport
Agoro Moninuola, a clearing agent, was arraigned by the NDLEA before a Federal High Court in Lagos on charges of conspiracy, unlawful procurement and attempted exportation of 2.80kg of cocaine to the UK. According to prosecutors, the drugs were intercepted in April 2026 at the SAHCO Export Shed in Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Moninuola allegedly worked with two accomplices, Azeez Nurudeen and Nuru, who remain at large, and enlisted officials linked to Amirotex Global Nigeria and STG World Cargo Logistics to ship the narcotics. The defendant pleaded not guilty. Justice Daniel Osiagor granted bail of N10 million with one surety in like sum. The case is adjourned to October 28, 2026, for the start of trial.
