What Is the Current Status of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme?
In October 2025, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme, a ward-based initiative intended to promote economic growth, improve living standards and strengthen social protection across Nigeria’s 8,809 wards. A national steering committee was constituted, chaired by Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, as vice chairman. The committee also included governors representing the six geopolitical zones. The committee held its inaugural meeting in Abuja on October 29, 2025, to establish an implementation framework. However, there has been little public information on the programme since then. Does anyone have verified updates on the programme’s current status, funding, implementation plans or projects at ward level?
