Tinubu: Economic Sacrifices Pay Off, “Light Is Here” for Nigeria

Tinubu: Economic Sacrifices Pay Off, “Light Is Here” for Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the economic reforms of his administration are beginning to deliver results. He said the sacrifices made over the past three years have stabilised key indicators and attracted new investments. “The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” he declared in his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir address. He drew parallels with Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice and urged citizens to embrace unity, compassion and selflessness during the festive period. He called on Nigerians to pray for the nation and support the less privileged. Tinubu also acknowledged ongoing security challenges but insisted that government efforts are intensifying to restore peace. He pledged continued investment in security, agriculture, infrastructure and human capital development. He asked Nigerians to remain patient and hopeful as reforms take effect.
