Ibrahim Buhari Joins Austria Wien on Three-Year Deal
FK Austria Wien have secured a three-year contract for 24-year-old Nigerian centre-back Ibrahim Buhari. He arrives from Swedish side IF Elfsborg and will don the number three shirt until summer 2029. Sporting director Tomas Zorn praised Buhari’s athleticism and physique, saying he perfectly matches the club’s defensive requirements and fits the strategy of renewing the squad. Buhari made his European breakthrough at Elfsborg after a move from Plateau United in 2022, racking up 77 appearances across all competitions before sealing this latest transfer.
