Switzerland Stuns Hosts Canada 2-1 to Top Group B

Switzerland Stuns Hosts Canada 2-1 to Top Group B

Switzerland claimed first place in Group B with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over co-hosts Canada. Ruben Vargas and Johan Manzambi scored early in the second half to overturn the hosts. Canada pulled one back through substitute Promise David but could not find an equaliser. The Swiss defence held firm as Maxime Crepeau’s saves kept Canada at bay. With this result, Canada miss out on home-soil knockout matches. Jesse Marsch’s side now travel to Los Angeles to face the runners-up of Group A in the round of 32 on June 28.

E no by chance Switzerland win this match; Canada's defense simply collapsed immediately after the break.
