Ohio Mother Charged After Leaving Seven Children Alone in Car to Gamble

Ohio Mother Charged After Leaving Seven Children Alone in Car to Gamble

A 37-year-old Ohio woman, Racqual Hicks, now faces seven counts of child endangerment. Authorities say she parked her car outside a gambling venue and left her children, ranging from 15 years to 11 months old, unattended for about 40 minutes. Police also discovered she was driving on a suspended license and several of the younger children were not secured in proper car seats. Hicks was arrested, released on her own recognizance, and ordered to wear a GPS monitor pending her next court appearance. The case highlights serious child safety concerns and could carry significant penalties if she is convicted. No future court date has been announced.
