Joe Igbokwe Appeals for Mercy for Woman Accused of Abusing 10-Year-Old Boy
APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has urged Nigerians to forgive Mrs Chisom Chukwuyere, the woman accused of mistreating a 10-year-old boy in her care. On June 18, a video went viral showing her in tears as Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs officials took her infant child into protective custody following her arrest over the alleged abuse. While many welcomed the move, Igbokwe said her sobs “touched me to the marrow.” He pleaded for compassion toward her and her daughter, saying she has learned a hard lesson. He also questioned the whereabouts of her husband and called on him to step forward and support his family at this difficult time.
