Court of Appeal Confirms Agada’s Leadership in Benue APC, Dismisses Omale’s Appeal

The Makurdi Division of the Court of Appeal has upheld a lower court ruling that reinstated the Augustine Agada-led Benue State APC Executive Committee. It dismissed Appeal No. CA/MKD/119/2024 filed by the party’s National Working Committee, agreeing that its dissolution of the Agada team was unlawful. In resolving all five issues, the court ruled against the APC and in favour of Agada and nine others. It also affirmed that any actions taken by the Benjamin Omale-led caretaking committee are null and void. Hon. Augustine Agada welcomed the judgment. He praised the judiciary’s fairness and urged all party members to stay united and maintain peace. The decision cements the Agada-led committee as the recognized leadership of the APC in Benue State.
