Pasuma’s 14-Day Ultimatum: Stop Using His Music and Image Without Consent
Pasuma, the Fuji music icon, has issued a 14-day cease-and-desist notice to multiple entertainment firms over unlawful use of his work. Dated June 5, 2026, the notice warns that legal action will follow if his sound recordings, image, likeness and other copyrighted materials continue to appear without permission. He outlined how streams, video-on-demand platforms, blogs, gaming sites and other digital services have allegedly exploited his intellectual property in breach of the Nigerian Copyright Act 2022. The singer demands removal of infringing content and a full statement of account detailing any unauthorised use. Pasuma has given concerned parties until June 19, 2026 to comply or face lawsuits seeking injunctions, damages and other legal remedies. He also requested copies of valid licence agreements from anyone claiming authorisation. The notice was addressed to a range of firms, including High Kay (Q) Dancent Ltd, Sarolaj Music & Films International and G3 Entertainment Limited.
