Accord Party Elders Set Up Committee After Adeleke Snubs Hashim
Accord Party elders loyal to Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim have formed a seven-member committee after Governor Ademola Adeleke failed to meet their seven-day ultimatum. The stakeholders had demanded that Adeleke publicly endorse Hashim’s 2027 presidential bid and break ties with President Bola Tinubu. They warned that a lack of endorsement would prompt a review of their support ahead of the 2026 governorship poll. The newly constituted panel, chaired by Alhaja Sherifat Oke with Hon. Sunday Olayori as secretary, will consult with key political figures over the next two weeks and recommend the group’s next course of action.
