Lagos Lawmaker Appeals to Tinubu After Winning APC Primary but Losing Ticket

Mr Samuel Apata, who represents Somolu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, says he won the APC primary with 9,081 votes but was denied the return ticket. He appealed directly to President Bola Tinubu to intervene and restore what he calls his rightful mandate. Apata described himself as a loyal party member committed to APC ideals and confident that Tinubu will ensure justice. The lawmaker highlighted his three years of service, including the renovation of Ariyo and Grace streets and the rehabilitation of six schools. He says his experience positions him to serve the people of Bariga even more effectively in a second term.

I'm curious if the party offered any official reason why his primary victory didn't result in the final ticket decision?
