Interior Minister Urges Cut in Red Tape to Boost Public Service
The federal government has raised alarm over excessive bureaucracy hindering progress in public service. Speaking in Abuja, the Minister of Interior stressed that “complexity is the enemy of progress” and called for streamlined procedures to unlock innovation and improve service delivery. He outlined a reform roadmap built on three questions: Where are we now? Where should we be? How do we bridge the gap? The minister warned that misunderstanding problems leads to misplaced solutions and urged civil servants to adopt data-driven analysis and strategic thinking. Praising the dedication of Interior Ministry staff, he reaffirmed his commitment to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance operational efficiency and deliver tangible results for Nigerians.
