Lagos Governor Appoints Dr Victoria Egunjobi as HEFAMAA Executive Secretary
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Dr Victoria Egunjobi as Executive Secretary of the Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA). The decision, confirmed in a letter dated 10 April by Head of Service Bode Agoro, takes effect from 13 April 2026. The governor expects Dr Egunjobi to demonstrate dedication, diligence and selflessness in her new role. Dr Egunjobi is a public health physician with over 20 years of service. She previously served as Director of Disease Control at the Lagos State Ministry of Health, overseeing interventions on communicable and non-communicable diseases. An alumna of the University of Lagos, she holds degrees in Physiology, Medicine and Surgery, plus a Master’s in Public Health. She also earned a postgraduate certificate in Health Economics from the University of Aberdeen and is a member of regional medical colleges.
