Today, July 21, 2026, Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, SAN, earned his PhD in Law from Babcock University. This marks the high point of a lifelong dream shaped by determination and faith. Born in Ikwuano, Abia State, he excelled at Awomukwu Primary School and overcame his father’s wish for him to become a mechanic. A breakdown on the way to Dunlop Nigeria became a turning point. At the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he boldly switched from Political Science to Law, sacrificing two years to follow his passion. He graduated with top honours in both his law degree and the Nigerian Law School, and later earned a Master’s in Comparative Constitutional Law. Despite personal losses and heavy responsibilities, he balanced legal practice, public service, and family while completing his doctoral research. His journey from village classroom to SAN and PhD stands as a testament to resilience, faith, and excellence.
