Lekki Domino’s Pizza Sealed for Dumping Untreated Sewage

The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office has shut down the Domino’s Pizza outlet on Freedom Way, Lekki, after finding it discharging untreated sewage into public drains. This enforcement followed a resident’s complaint and a thorough investigation. Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Barrister Tokunbo Wahab, said waste from an overfilled septic tank created foul odours and posed health risks to nearby residents. He warned that anyone caught violating sanitation regulations would face sanctions and possible prosecution. The state government reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing environmental laws and urged all property owners to adopt proper wastewater management practices. Residents are encouraged to report any infractions to the relevant agency through its official channels.
