ADC’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Announces Passing of Mother, Nkechi Stella

Lagos State governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the African Democratic Congress has announced the death of his mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso). A family statement shared on his official social media account described her as a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. “With sadness in our hearts and gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the call to glory of Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour,” it read. The family remembered her as “the epitome of love” and said she will be greatly missed. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course. Rhodes-Vivour, who contested the 2023 Lagos governorship race under the Labour Party, secured the ADC ticket for the 2027 election in May 2026.
