Since my fiancée came into my life, doors have opened at every turn. Jobs I’d been eyeing for years fell into place with almost no effort. I’m even moving from the private sector to a good position in a public institution—a role I’ve waited three years for. Funds have also started flowing in. Debtors are clearing their balances and friends are chipping in donations. As my wedding approaches, I’ve been worried about covering every expense.
