NUPRC Announces June 12 Deadline for 2025 Licensing Round Bids

NUPRC Announces June 12 Deadline for 2025 Licensing Round Bids

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission has set Friday, June 12, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. WAT as the final deadline for technical and commercial bid submissions in its 2025 licensing round. The deadline follows the guidelines set for this round, which opened in December with 50 oil and gas blocks aiming to attract $10 billion in investment. Of the 50 blocks, 15 are onshore, 19 are shallow water, 15 are frontier and one is deep water. The two-stage process includes a qualification stage and a bid stage, and will run for approximately six months.
