Delivery Agent in Lagos Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Nine iPhones Worth ₦9 Million
A 22-year-old delivery agent, Samuel Uchenna, has been arraigned at an Ikeja magistrate’s court in Lagos. He faces charges of conspiracy and stealing after nine iPhones valued at ₦9 million went missing during a February 19 delivery. Police prosecutor ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji told the court that Mr. Henry Emordi had entrusted the phones to Uchenna, but they never reached their intended recipient. The defendant later claimed he was robbed while on his way to deliver the items. Uchenna pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of ₦1 million with two sureties of like sum. The matter has been adjourned until April 29 for mention.
