El-Rufai’s Son Alleges ICPC Denied Father Medical Care and Family Food
Hon. Mohammed Bello, representing Kaduna North, says ICPC officials blocked his detained father, former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, from seeing his personal doctor despite a court order. He claims the agency demanded written permission from its chairman before allowing any medical visit. Bello also alleges that his father’s wife was refused entry when she brought his evening meal, citing an arbitrary 6:30pm curfew imposed by ICPC personnel. He calls these actions an “assault on the rule of law” and a clear violation of constitutional and human rights. He demands that all court-ordered rights be fully respected and warns against “intimidation dressed up as protocol,” insisting the ICPC must adhere to the laws it enforces.
