APC Unveils House of Reps Candidates for All Eight Abia Constituencies
The All Progressives Congress has announced its House of Representatives candidates for all eight federal constituencies in Abia State ahead of the 2027 general elections. Deputy Speaker Benjamin Okezie Kalu and Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nkiruka Onyejeocha both ran unopposed in Bende and Isuikwuato/Umunneochi respectively. Chris Nkwonta will contest Ukwa East/Ukwa West, while Uzor Azubuike secured the ticket for Aba North/Aba South. Former Assembly Speaker Chinedum Orji emerged for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South, and Uzoma Theodore Uka will fly the flag in Isiala Ngwa North/South. Udo Alozie and Ikenna Nicholas will represent Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo and Arochukwu/Ohafia. The committee chairman praised party members for a transparent, fair, and credible primary process.
