Earning ₦30 Million a Year Yet Struggling to Survive in Nigeria
I’m trying to understand why anyone still supports Nigeria’s current system. From my view, decades of oil wealth haven’t translated into reliable public services. We still lack clean piped water and stable electricity. We pay heavily for boreholes, generators, solar systems and data backups like Starlink just to meet basic needs. Healthcare is underfunded, driving many doctors abroad and forcing hospitals to pass costs to patients. Insecurity keeps me grounded—kidnappings on roads and in homes make travel unbearable. High taxes and fees drain incomes before we feel paid. Skyrocketing rents, unsafe public schools, and rampant corruption add to the daily struggle. If you believe things are improving, please share what gives you hope. I’m genuinely drained but open to understanding other perspectives.
