Muslim Cleric Files Petition Against Alleged Cyberstalker in Lagos

A Muslim cleric, Sheik Jamiu Sanusi, has petitioned the Lagos State Commissioner of Police over persistent cyberstalking and criminal defamation. Filed on April 13, 2026 by his legal team, the petition names Mr Saheed Teyinbo of Dalemo-Alakuko as the respondent. It alleges false social media claims that Sheik Sanusi used diabolical spirits against benefactors, caused a stillbirth and triggered financial ruin through spiritual means. The cleric’s lawyers say these online attacks have put him at risk of violence and disturbed public peace. They urge a thorough police investigation and prosecution to deter future abuse.
