Bauchi Governor Calls for Security Overhaul After Oyo School Kidnappings

He expressed sympathy and commended ongoing efforts to secure their release. Bala urged a thorough review of Nigeria’s security architecture. He called for stronger collaboration among security agencies and greater community involvement to prevent future incidents. He pledged the support of the Bauchi State government and highlighted community engagement initiatives as a model for improving security awareness nationwide. He also attributed rising crime rates to economic hardship and governance challenges. The governor congratulated Makinde on his emergence as his party’s presidential candidate. The solidarity visit included the national chairman of the Allied People’s Movement and the party’s Bauchi governorship candidate.
