FC Cincinnati have held preliminary discussions with Neymar’s representatives about a possible MLS move ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window. Neymar is under contract with Santos FC until December 2026 after extending his deal last year. His main aim is to secure a place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup in North America. The 34-year-old scored eight goals and provided one assist in 20 league games during the 2025 campaign. He has continued his strong form this season, with three goals and two assists in four appearances while recovering from a knee procedure. FC Cincinnati would join Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez’s MLS clubs if they complete the transfer. However, all three of their Designated Player slots are currently occupied, posing a roster challenge.
