A British woman living with gigantomastia, a rare condition that causes excessive breast-tissue growth, says she has faced worsening discomfort after weight-loss treatment and surgery. She said her breast size increased rapidly in recent months, affecting her sleep, mobility, posture and ability to see her feet while using stairs. Hot weather and long car journeys have also become painful because of the strain on her chest and upper back. Although she has considered breast-reduction surgery, she said doctors have warned that the tissue could continue growing and that her thinning skin may increase surgical risks. She now uses weight and resistance training to support her spine and improve her posture.
