PDP Professionals Demand Wike Loyalists Exit Wadata Plaza After Appeal Court Verdict
The PDP Conference of Professionals has ordered the faction led by Abdulrahman Mohammed to leave Wadata Plaza, the party’s national secretariat, immediately. This directive follows a recent Appeal Court judgment that invalidated the group’s claim to authority. According to a statement from the PDP Professionals’ national coordinator, Obinna Nwachukwu, Justice Uchechukwu ruled in Appeal No. CA/IB/M.90/2026 that suspended party legal adviser A.K. Ajibade, SAN, forfeited all constitutional powers on suspension. The court also upheld the 608th National Working Committee’s decision to empower the Directorate of Legal Services and engage Dapo Durosaro, Esq. to represent the party. The professionals warned that any continued occupation of the secretariat by the loyalists would be an act of defiance. They stressed that the Appeal Court’s decision is final and legally binding, leaving no basis for the group’s presence in the PDP office.
