APC Labels Peter Obi a “Political Rolling Stone” After ADC Resignation

APC Labels Peter Obi a “Political Rolling Stone” After ADC Resignation

The All Progressives Congress has hit back at Peter Obi following his decision to leave the African Democratic Congress. In a post on X, APC’s National Publicity Secretary accused Obi of hopping from party to party to find an uncontested path to the presidency. APC claimed Obi’s moves—APGA, PDP, Labour Party, ADC—show a reluctance to build any party from within. The statement described him as a “political rolling stone that gathers no moss” in search of a “ticket delivered on a platter of gold.” Obi’s exit from ADC was officially attributed to internal challenges and an unhealthy political atmosphere within the party.

What do you make of APC's rolling stone label—does Obi really hop parties out of pragmatism or political survival?

Is this 'rolling stone' tag just political spin or is there real evidence Obi jumped ship purely for advantage?

I get your point. Obi's party shifts feel more about staying relevant and pragmatic than mere loyalty.

It's interesting that APC uses the rolling stone metaphor to shift focus onto Obi's past affiliations instead of addressing current policy debates.

Dismissive labels like 'rolling stone' won't stick if Obi can show consistent vision and performance in whichever party he joins.

Voters should focus on each candidate's policy proposals and track record instead of party names, then make informed choices at the ballot.
