Is President Tinubu Really Awake Till 3am for National Security?
The First Lady recently said President Tinubu often sleeps around 3am as he worries about Nigeria’s security. Though this sounds devoted, a closer look raises questions about his capacity. Medical experts might interpret his age, gait and late-night hours as signs of cognitive decline. A similar debate surrounds former US President Trump, whose late-night social media activity and frequent health checks have fueled dementia speculation. Last week’s interview showed a leader struggling to outline coherent solutions to rising banditry. If late-night strategy sessions were happening, they have yielded no relief for children still held captive in Oyo forests. It seems unwise to keep an elderly leader with diminishing faculties in charge. Age-related decline affected the previous administration. We may be seeing the same warning signs today.
