Police, JAMB Foil Tech-Driven UTME Cheating Ring in Warri
Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force and JAMB uncovered a sophisticated technology-assisted malpractice syndicate during the 2026 UTME at the College of Education, Warri. Investigations revealed that criminals gained unauthorized remote access to candidates’ computer systems during the exam. Coordinated police raids led to the arrest of three suspects and identified additional centres under suspicion. JAMB has withdrawn results from affected centres and will reschedule candidates for a mop-up exercise. The police spokesperson warned all would-be fraudsters and exam operators to desist or face prosecution.
