Baruwa Wins Court Battle, Peacefully Takes Over NURTW Secretariat in Abuja
Tajudeen Baruwa has assumed control of the National Union of Road Transport Workers’ national secretariat in Abuja, replacing Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) after a series of court rulings affirmed his leadership. Addressing journalists at the secretariat, Baruwa emphasized that the change was a peaceful, lawful exercise in strict compliance with judicial orders rather than a forceful takeover. He was joined by supporters from across the country. Baruwa also confirmed that the union formally notified the Nigeria Police Force of its intention to reclaim the secretariat, providing copies of the favourable judgments to facilitate the process.
