First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Meets IGP’s Wife to Boost Police Families’ Welfare

During their meeting, the First Lady encouraged Mrs. Disu to continue championing the welfare of police officers’ families. Mrs. Disu, who leads the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), expressed excitement about partnering with the Renewed Hope Initiative. She pledged to use its platforms to improve healthcare, welfare, and economic opportunities for POWA members nationwide. Since her husband’s appointment as Inspector General on February 24, 2026, Mrs. Disu has focused on social intervention for police families. She described the meeting as inspiring and committed to working closely with the First Lady to uplift women in the force.
