Ooni of Ife Demands Swift Security Action After Kidnapping of Students and Teachers in Oyo

The Ooni of Ife has strongly condemned the recent attacks on schools in the Ahoro-Esiele and Yawota areas of Oyo State. He described the abduction of pupils, teachers and community members as heartbreaking and unacceptable. He urged security agencies to intensify rescue operations and bring the perpetrators to justice. He also called on all levels of government to strengthen security around schools and rural communities to prevent further incidents. Highlighting that attacks on education threaten Nigeria’s future, the monarch appealed to citizens to support security efforts with credible information and community vigilance. He expressed sympathy for the families of victims and prayed for the safe return of all those still in captivity.
