Nigerian National Jailed in UK for Serial Sexual Offences Under Met’s V100 Scheme
A 35-year-old Nigerian man, Victor Komolafe, has been sentenced to 8 years and 11 months at Woolwich Crown Court after convictions for multiple sexual offences against two women in London. Komolafe was found guilty earlier this year of four counts of sexual abuse, including attempted rape, sexual assault and assault by penetration. He will also face a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order and remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely. The case arose from the Metropolitan Police’s V100 programme, which identifies the top 100 offenders posing the highest risk to women and girls in London. Investigators used counter-terrorism tactics and forensic evidence to secure convictions. Officers praised the victims’ courage in coming forward, saying their bravery helped deliver justice.
