OPay POS Terminal Frozen Over Transaction Target: Need Advice!

I paid a ₦31,200 deposit for an OPay POS terminal on 9 March 2026. I used it regularly and kept transactions active. On 19 June 2026, my terminal was frozen without warning. I was told I must hit at least ₦200,000 in daily volume from multiple transactions. Otherwise, I must return the terminal. I have several questions: • Should this target have been communicated upfront? • Has anyone’s POS been frozen for low volume? • Did you get your deposit and fee refunded? • What happens to business funds when the account is frozen? • How did you resolve the issue? Any advice on reliable POS providers with transparent terms would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Has anyone else experienced a sudden freeze on their OPay POS after making a deposit but before hitting volume targets?

It's odd that they'd set such a high daily volume requirement without clear notice or written warning up front.

I get the frustration, but maybe you didn't review the full terms and missed that clause about transaction diversity requirements.

Start keeping daily logs of all POS transactions and reach out formally in writing to request clarity on volume targets and next steps.
