Abia Police Declare Six Individuals Wanted for Alleged IPOB Links
The Abia State Police Command has formally declared six people wanted over suspected ties to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The names include Chukwuebuka Ohaechesi, Emma Okonkwo, Jude Uwa, Gentle Okoro, Uchenna Dike and Emmanuel Nwankwo. According to the police spokesperson, the suspects are accused of organising protests demanding the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and holding secret gatherings on May 30th to mark Biafra remembrance. The command says these demonstrations disrupted peace and order across the state. The individuals were invited for questioning on December 18, 2025, February 7 and March 3, 2026, but failed to appear. The police are appealing to anyone with reliable information to come forward, assuring that informants will be rewarded.
