A Hawaii jury has convicted 28-year-old former Army soldier Kendall Rashad Ramsey of first-degree murder over the 2020 deaths of his girlfriend and their six-month-old son. Prosecutors said Ramsey stabbed his girlfriend 38 times and the infant 17 times before fleeing and later crashing his vehicle. Investigators found messages written in blood inside the apartment, including an apology and a claim that the woman had choked him. His lawyers cited childhood trauma, abandonment and mental-health struggles. Ramsey remains held without bail and is due to be sentenced on November 18, 2026.
