From Chibok to Oya: Why Tinubu's Government Botched the Kidnapping Response
I recall the Chibok abduction under GEJ and how the government’s weak response destroyed its reputation. Media outrage and poor strategy allowed the opposition to capitalise on the crisis. Now in 2026, similar kidnappings have struck under President Tinubu. Yet politics seems to have overshadowed governance, leading to delayed action and disjointed security efforts. I voted for this administration but have watched insecurity worsen. Our government must protect citizens and address the real issues affecting households, not just pursue political ambitions. To turn things around, I believe the president should set clear deadlines for security agencies and hold them accountable. He must also ease the burden of rising living costs through tangible measures while planning for long-term solutions. What else would you add?
