London to Stage 2026 Ballon d’Or Ceremony on October 26
The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held in London for the first time on October 26. The move marks 70 years since England’s Stanley Matthews claimed the inaugural prize in 1956. Last year’s winner was Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembélé in a ceremony organised by the same group behind the award. The exact London venue for 2026 has yet to be announced. Lionel Messi holds the record with eight Ballon d’Or titles (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2019, 2021 and 2023). Cristiano Ronaldo follows with five wins (2008, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017).
