On 25 June 2026, President Bola Tinubu, represented by SGF George Akume, officially reopened the 66-year-old Premier Hotel at Mokola Hill in Ibadan, Oyo State. The historic property has been transformed by Odu’a Investment Company Limited. Its original 87 rooms were expanded into a 154-room, ultra-modern facility while preserving its iconic name and heritage. Speaking at the ceremony, the President praised the project as a symbol of renewal and cultural pride. He highlighted its role in showcasing Ibadan’s strategic and commercial importance to the Southwest.
