Mr P Fires Back at Age Critics: “No Be Me Increase Fuel Price”

Mr P Fires Back at Age Critics: “No Be Me Increase Fuel Price” — 1 of 6
1 / 6

Mr P has hit back after an X user questioned why an “almost 50-year-old man” is still making music and told him to retire. Media personality Do2tun defended the singer by pointing out global stars such as Celine Dion, Shakira, Beyoncé, Busta Rhymes, Bruce Springsteen and Lionel Richie who are still performing at older ages. Mr P thanked Do2tun and accused critics of shifting to age-based attacks once claims that he couldn’t sing or lacked talent had fallen flat. He also highlighted a double standard that holds Nigerian artists to a different bar compared with peers like Usher, Beyoncé and Chris Brown. The singer revealed he recently signed a multi-million-dollar, five-year distribution deal covering three albums. He called his solo journey “one of the best decisions” he’s ever made and declared, “It’s Mr P forever.”
