1 / 2

The Energy Commission of Nigeria and the Nigerian Air Force have launched a strategic partnership to strengthen national energy security. A delegation led by Air Vice Marshal E. K. Gabkwet and AVM A. I. Sambo visited the ECN headquarters in Abuja. They discussed joint development of renewable energy solutions to support anti-terrorism operations and sought technical training from the Commission. Dr. Abdullahi, Director-General of the ECN, described the meeting as historic. He reviewed the National Energy Policy and Master Plan and highlighted ongoing solarisation projects in healthcare facilities and tertiary institutions. Both parties agreed to extend solar-powered lighting and other initiatives to Air Force operations. This collaboration marks the start of sustained joint efforts toward national development and security.
