Etsu Nupe Names Hon. Saddiq Buhari as Leader of Nupe Youth

His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe, has conferred the Jagoran Matasan Nupe (Giwa) title on Hon. Saddiq Buhari. This traditional honour recognises him as the official leader of Nupe youth at home and abroad. The ceremony celebrated the monarch’s blessing and highlighted his role as Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers and head of the National Council of Traditional Rulers’ Coordinating Committee. Buhari serves as Adviser on Social Investment to the Kwara State Governor and formerly held the office of Commissioner for Communications in Kwara State. His new chieftaincy role is expected to help him unite Nupe youth and promote their cultural heritage.
