Nasarawa’s Only APC House Member, Jeremiah Umaru, Quits Over Alleged Rigged Primaries

Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba federal lawmaker Jeremiah Umaru has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress. In a letter to his ward chairman dated May 28, he condemned the recent primaries in Nasarawa State as unjust and lacking internal democracy. He accused the party of manipulation, imposition of candidates, and betrayal of its founding principles. Umaru thanked colleagues and supporters for their collaboration but said he could no longer identify with a party that disregards fairness and transparency.
