Why Partisan ‘Obedient’ Supporters Only Swap Failures for Failures
I’ve noticed that some so-called “obedient” supporters dismiss every accomplishment of President Tinubu—whether it’s the ₦Nigeria Infrastructure Fund, coastal roads, health improvements or other projects. They insist he’s failed but have no clear alternative when challenged. When you ask who should replace him, many go silent or fall back on Peter Obi. Pointing out Obi’s own problems in Anambra provokes only partial agreement before they say, “Okay, let’s try him.” But why keep cycling through known failures instead of exploring new leaders like Sowore or other fresh faces? At that point, the “obedient” crowd often resorts to insults and name-calling. It seems their slogan is really, “Remove my failure and put my failure in power.” If they’re honest about competence, they’d welcome real alternatives—but they don’t. That’s what frustrates me most.
